About me
Brunhilde and I

My name is Steffi and I live with borderline personality disorder, or BPD for short, as well as with complex post-traumatic stress disorder, cPTSD.
This blog is my personal space to write about my life with this condition, about experiences, thoughts, and how everyday life can feel with a sensitive and easily overwhelmed nervous system.
It's important to me to provide honest information. Not from a professional distance, but from my own perspective. I talk about what helps me, what challenges me, and what I encounter again and again in everyday life. Sometimes quietly, sometimes chaotically, sometimes more clearly than I would have expected.
I named my BPD Brunhilde. Not to make it seem less special, but to give it a name. Brunhilde represents the intense emotions, the inner struggles, the overreactions, and the defense mechanisms that have accompanied me for many years and are still part of my everyday life.
This blog is called Brunhilde and I because it deals precisely with this interplay: illness and humanity, survival and growth, acceptance and boundaries.
This blog is not a guide or a promise of a cure. It is a personal insight. For people who are affected themselves, for relatives, for those interested, and for everyone who wants to better understand mental illness.
You are welcome to read here, find yourself reflected in the text, follow along silently, or leave your thoughts behind.
It's great to have you here. ❤️
